While Send Out Cards has been around for a few years, I decided to take a loot at it because I've been approached by a few of their reps in the last couple of weeks. Headquartered in Utah, Send Out Cards was started by Kody Bateman in 2004.Bateman, the current CEO of the company, started Send Out Cards because of a sad event that happened to him.
In 1989, Bateman had just graduated college.He was offered a job in New York. As he was packing his car to leave, he saw his brother Kris in the distance. He had a “prompting” to go over and give his brother a hug and say good bye. But because he was in a hurry, he ignored the feeling, waved and drove off.
A couple of months later, he received a call in the middle of the night. His brother had been killed in a tragic accident. The first thing that popped into Kody’s mind was how he had ignored the prompting to say goodbye to his brother. He made a promise that night that he would never ignore another prompting and would help others to act on their promptings as well… The idea for Send Out Cards was born.
So, What Does Send Out Cards Do Anyway?
Send Out Cards will actually allow you to mail out actual greeting cards to people to let them know you are thinking about and appreciate them. With one click of your mouse, you can design your card, write a personal note and have the company package it and mail it for you. It takes about 60 seconds and costs about the same, or sometimes a little less, than it would cost you to do it on your own. But the real value here is saving time and convenience. Think about it, on any given holiday or if you were to send out invitations for a party, how long would it take you to write out 100-200 cards, package and stamp them and then run to the post office to send them out. With Send Out Cards, you can mail hundreds of cards out in a matter of a few minutes. This service is especially useful for sending cards to business contacts as well. It's because of this reason that many salespeople are joining the company. Aside from the opportunity to build another stream of income, they can use the service to stay in touch with prospects and existing clients.
One last note, besides cards, Send Out Cards also allows you to send out gifts to accompany the cards if you want.
Can You Really Make Money With Send Out Cards?
To join the company, it will run you between $99 and $298, depending on whether you come in witha basic package or a premiere package. After signing up, you can make money 7 different ways with the unilevel pay plan that Send Out Cards uses. Now, while there are seven components to the compensation plan, they can pretty much be put into two categories: Weekly upfront income for sponsoring new reps and monthly back-end residual income from your organization sending out cards. The pay plan does look attractive, assuming you can personally sponsor new reps into your business and teach your reps how to effectively sponsor new reps as well.
In summary, Send Out Cards is definitely not a scam.If you do your research, it’s clear to see that Send Out Cards is a very credible and solid business opportunity. With that said, simply becoming a rep will absolutely not guarantee you that you will be successful. All Send Out Cards provides is a distributor position and an opportunity for you to build your own business. Ultimately, your success will rely on your ability to brand yourself, market and generate more leads than you can get to. It’s critical, if you’re serious, to obtain the knowledge and skills that will allow you to personally sponsor 10-20 reps a month. Although Send Out Cards is a real and credible business, if you don't learn how to generate leads, you will have a very hard time building your business.
