Back pain can be crippling for days, weeks or even longer. The ailment affects millions of people worldwide especially who are over the age of 40 and people who are obese. In some cases of back pain, younger individuals also suffer from lower back pain.

There many causes and symptoms of back pain. To inform you what causes pain in the back, here are some identifiable causes. Read on.

Injury

Injury to the back can happen because of certain accidents. It can be a sudden impact in the back because of a car accident or falling from the stairs. Lower back pain is felt after the accident had happened and an injury to the back is diagnosed by a doctor.

Arthritis

Arthritis can also aggravate pain in the back. This is because the joints and ligaments are inflamed and pain is felt at the legs, knees including at the lower back part of the body. Arthritis sufferers are mostly the older people because of the weakening joints, bones and muscles.

Although it is improper to lose weight because of pregnancy, just toning it down a bit will cause no harm for the baby.

Aging

Because of aging, the bones and the muscles in the back weakens causing severe back pain. Proper nutrition should be done with an extra food supplements that is rich in calcium and other vitamins and minerals.

Cancer

Having a cancer is the most terrible case scenario for back pain. Tumors can be found in the spinal column or within its surrounding area.
