While there are obvious advantages, there are some disadvantages. Firstly, the telecommunications industry is very competitive. Besides competing with other network marketing companies that sell telecom services, you also have to compete with non-network marketing companies, and upstart companies like Magic Jack. Also, the majority of the big money in the comp plan is dependent on recruiting. And while this is not all bad, a balanced comp plan should also reward people who just want to get customers and don't want to recruit anyone. With that said, 5linx has a feature that the other telecom-based network marketing companies don't have to reward reps that acquire customers called a Customer Pool. This pool allows 5linx reps who qualify to get paid more money for getting customers. This is a great way to alleviate what would have been a big draw back.
In closing, 5linx is a very reputable and solid business opportunity. It has great leadership, quality products and a solid comp plan. However, this doesn't necessarily mean that it is the ideal opportunity for you. You will have to decide what exactly it is you're looking for in a business opportunity to see if 5linx would be a fit for you.
