Since mankind has existed, we have looked up at the night's sky above and pondered on its umpteen mysteries. Astrologers date back to before time was even recorded. The earliest certified birth chart was discovered in Iraq and is dated 410 BC. A birth chart is different for each person, giving them the facility to track the planet's influences which affect our birthplace and time of birth. Each birth chart is wholly unique, just like our fingerprints.
Astrology is about the study of movement, patterns and relationships of the planets in movements. We then link these into our births. Because astrology considers us as a part of the universe, our moments of birth are said to be registered on the celestial clock - giving us meaning. The most common and popular astrological sign is the zodiac (star) sign. It is the simplest form of astrology - it is called the sun sign and it simply needs a person's month of birth to work from. Astrologists will tell you that utilizing the sun sign, though, will only produce very limited results. To get more precise information, astrologers rely upon many different techniques involving birth charts and a form of up-to-date analysis of planetary movements.
We use astrology to learn more about ourselves. The cosmic chart uses symbols which carry a large power, so they can be used to learn anything from someone's personality to their relationship with others (and of course much more). It might seem puzzling initially however as you delve further, certain things begin to click into place and make sense. Some might think that life is a random and empty road but the astrologer gets comfort from the knowledge that things occur for a reason. Our lives follow a trackable cycle, just like the planets do. Naturally, it is simpler to examine the flow of the planets compared to a human being, because it's much more complex. But despite this, it is evidently still worth trying to understand our nature by analyzing ourselves via the planets. This in turn provides for us to make predictions which will help us to succeed instead of failing.
When arguments between us and other individuals come up, astrology can aid here also. Through comparing the birth charts with other people's charts, astrology teaches that you can then understand why a personality clash (and so argument) may have originated.
Evidently astrology can never predict the future, but it is really helpful in guiding us through the future and helping us to analyze our past and present also. To try and understand this, think of being given some cards from a pack. Astrology can help you play your cards in a way that will help you most. If you are handed a good set of cards but then - through ignorance - use them wrongly, things in life may not turn out well. On the other hand if you are given a poor hand but know how to utilize your cards you could win big!
