One of the most common problems in medical condition is back pain. Many people complain because they can’t work or do some chores in the house for the reason that of lower back pain. What really are the causes of back pain?

Let us try to look further on what causes back pain problems. Here are some for you to gain information with.

Ruptured disc – This is also termed as herniated disc. As we grow older, our spinal disc may also become less elastic and there will be a tendency for the disc to rupture causing it to move from its usual boundary hence, lower back pain sets in.

Muscle strain – This is the most common cause of back pain. Some cases of muscle strain are due to accidents like blow in the back, falling in a chair or bed, or sometimes people don’t know what had happened. Muscle strain stop for a few hours or it may take even longer.

Spinal stenosis – This case usually occurs in aging people. The spinal canal can become constricted as we grow older and the nerves may become constricted causing pain in the back.

Osteoporosis – Again, this sort of disorder affects the aging people. As people age, the bones and muscles become weaker resulting to severe backache.

Improper weight lifting – Because of our improper postures when lifting heavy objects, our muscles and bones may be strained causing our backs to feel pain.

Arthritis – arthritis is an inflammation in the joints. Older people also acquire this kind of problem including those who don’t have proper diet. There are several underlying symptoms that cause arthritis; this includes pain in the back. There are also correct medications that can treat arthritis.

Tumor – These are severe cases that cause back pain. A tumor may grow in the spine causing the spinal nerves to be pinned inside the bones.
These are some of the many causes of an aching back. Fortunately, there are also some remedies to these causes. Here are some.

For immediate treatment of backache, there are over the counter medications that can be bought in pharmacies. These are:

• Analgesics
• Pain killers
• Anti inflammatory drugs

These treatments can be temporary only but it may help in stopping the pain in the back.

A physical therapist can also help in easing backache. Make sure that when you ask help from a physical therapist, they are duly licensed.

Exercise techniques can also be done to help alleviate back pain. The important thing to remember here is do not over do it because instead of taking away the pain, it will increase the pain more.

When all else fail and the pain is still there for a long time already, a surgical procedure would do. There are proper examinations to be done first before having a surgical procedure. A physician who specializes about these conditions should also be asked for help to take away backache.
In conclusion, there are many causes of back pain. Make sure it is treated properly so that it will be gone for a longer period of time or even forever.
