Aiming to diminish that stomach fat? Want to remove those love handles? Searching for exercises to lose back fat? If your objective is to shrink the size of your waist and uncover your stomach muscles than P90X is for you! In just one month, the end of the 1st segment of the regimen, you will observe your waist line begin to get smaller. I have been there and can testify to the fact that this regimen works. I have tried everything to remove tummy fat for the past 10 years. Sit-ups, diets, a number of contraptions, I've used them all and none of them worked. P90X was the 1st routine where I noticed real improvement.
Not until P90X did I understand the importance of a complete body workout. There is no such thing as spot training. You should have a complete body workout, together with physical exercises that will work your entire core area. Sit-ups alone won't complete the job. The core muscle group is often referred to as your "trunk" and involves all the muscles around that trunk section. P90X is a total body workout and all the routines work your "trunk" in some way. Nevertheless, the routine does consist of 2 videos that focus specifically on core exercises.
Ab Ripper X is a fifteen minute video that is done 3 days weekly during the classic version of the routine and 2 days a week in the lean version. Ab Ripper X isn't done every day because as Tony Horton advises "you don't work out abs every day." Its typically performed after the resistance training routines, however the fifteen minutes seriously isn't effortless and I discovered it better to split the two. Doing this helps me to concentrate evenly on both workouts. I do Ab Ripper X in the morning and I complete the strength training videos in the evening. The routine includes 11 moves and most require twenty five reps. There is simply a five second breather period between each exercise, therefore it goes by pretty fast. Do not get disheartened if you have difficulty with it to begin with. I started out doing barely 5 reps of each exercise and was bit by bit able to build up until I was finishing a large amount of the reps. I still can't complete 25 reps of all exercises!
The other core workout is Core Synergistic. This is completed only in the course of the recovery week in the classic version and once a week during the lean version. I actually customized my routine where I did the classic version, but replaced Kenpo X with Core Synergistic. This was because belly fat, love handles, and back fat were major trouble parts for me, but I wanted to benefit from the resistance training and intensity of the classic version. Core Synergistic includes a diversity of exercises that work your core from every angle. From push-ups done with your feet stacked on each other and your hands staggered, to superman-banana where you switch from a superman to a banana pose every 10 seconds, to steam engine which essentially involves performing sit-ups from a standing position. You'll by no means get tired of this video.
The neatest thing about both these routines is that they churn out results even as they keep you entertained. You will never have the 6 pack you've been dreaming of if you start an exercise program and then stop because of boredom. This is a non-issue with P90X. This program keeps your muscles confused by working them in different ways while keeping you engaged all at the same time. Furthermore, the fact that the regimen produces results quickly is a major benefit. Noticing the difference in my core at the end of every phase, including that problem lower abdomen fat, helped me maintain motivation. Nothing trimmed my tummy like this program. My aim prior to beginning was to fit in a bikini by the time it was done and I reached my target. It was beyond doubt well worth the sweat!
