If you’re going over this article, chances are you’re looking for information on Team National (formerly known as National Companies). Team National has been around for almost twenty years, but it is really starting to get a lot of attention as of late. In this third party, simple review, I’ll share some information on the company, it’s products and pay plan. I’ll also talk about how you can position yourself ahead of 95% of your competition, should you decide to join.
First of all, let’s cover the company itself. Team National is a company that utilizes the power of volume purchasing, or “bulk buying”, to get discounts from various retailers. It’s this savings membership that the company markets through a direct sales business model. In a nutshell, members can receive savings when they buy various services and products including furniture, travel, insurance, jewelry, communications services and close to 30 other products and services. Distributors are encouraged to recruit other distributors who would benefit from the savings membership, sell the membership to customers and build a downline of productive salespeople.
Team National was started by the late Dick Loehr and has been around for almost twenty years. The company is also registered with the Direct Selling Association (DSA), The US Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). The fact that it’s been around for almost two decades and is registered with several highly credible associations goes against the notion that Team National is a scam. In fact, they have a pretty impressive history and have some good people, both in the field and on the corporate team. Currently, the company is based in Florida and is led by Dick’ Loehr’s daughter, Angela Loehr Chrysler.
As far as their business opportunity is concerned, you will have to pay an initial start-up cost (which mostly pays for your personal membership) to become a distributor. While there are a few ways to join, the premiere lifetime membership can cost close to $2,000. While this may seem very pricey (and compared to other network marketing companies, it may very well be), keep in mind that you are starting your very own business. How much would it cost you to start a traditional business, hire employees, pay for advertising and obtain various licenses you may need to run your business? Probably a lot more than $2,000. Another thing to keep in mind is that there is potential to earn a significant commission for selling a membership, so you can recoup your initial costs fairly quickly. In addition, the company has a binary pay plan that can potentially position you to get spillover volume from your upline team depending where you’re positioned in their binary structure. All in all, for the right person, the pay plan can be quite lucrative.
In summary, Team National is a very credible company that sells a good product, and has a solid business opportunity. But, contrary to what you may have been told, that has very little to do with whether or not you will be successful. While it’s obviously beneficial to you to have a highly credible company supporting your business, what really determines whether you will succeed or not, is your ability to recruit people into your team, your ability to sell memberships and your ability to build and duplicate a downline of distributors. And, one of the biggest factors to accomplishing those three things is your ability to market. If you don’t have a clue about marketing, you'll have a tough time building your Team National business. It’s vital to your success that you get the correct marketing training so you can brand yourself and generate a steady flow of quality leads. Obviously, you can build your business using traditional, offline marketing tactics but, for the average person getting started, calling on your warm market will only take you so far. If you can combine effective offline strategies with the ability to generate 20-30+ leads a day online, there’s no telling how big your Team National organization can get.
