Woodstock was indeed a music and art festival in 1969 over a span of 3 days. It's widely considered as one of the greatest and monumental moments in popular music history. It showcased some of the industries greatest big names and performers.

A Woodstock term paper tests a student's ability to study effectively, collect and compile fitting information from reliable sources and present a solid account of the music festival. Since this is a historic event, it will focus on research and an account of the details. You may have to write about your opinion on the festival or how it shaped music history. The portion below will help you in writing a Woodstock term paper.

Give a brief yet correct account of the festival. It was held between August 15th and August 18th, 1969 at Max Yasgur's 600 acre dairy farm in the town of Bethel, New York. Some 500,000 people witnessed this historic event over the course of 3 days where 32 acts were performed outdoors.

List the remarkable musicians and artists in your Woodstock term paper. Some names include Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, The Who and Santana. These artists are revered for their original work. They were given a chance to entertain and perform live in-front of hundreds of thousands of people. Some artists showcased their best work and performed new singles as well.

You can write about the excellence of the music fair in your Woodstock term paper and how it shaped the music industry for the decades to come. The concert was also a peace movement, citizens were given a chance to unwind, rejoice and wash away their troubles, mentally.

Since then, many artists and enthusiasts have tried to relive the Woodstock moment by trying to develop and arrange a live concert of that merit, but they have failed to create an impact as great. Though, organizations, artists and fans pay tribute and respect to Woodstock by celebrating anniversaries and reliving the moment.

Write about the critics of the concert in your Woodstock term paper. Many people called it a waste of time and productivity. Some critics labeled it a 'Hippie fest' implying the excessive use of recreational drugs and idle time. It caused mammoth traffic jams and cleanup costs as well. You can decide whether it was indeed a waste of time or whether the critics are over reacting.

Remember to research the facts thoroughly and present an analysis depending on your chosen topic. Proof read your work before submission.
