Don't you just adore a hatchback motor vehicle? After all, you'll still get that deluxe, stunning form of the Sedan car but this one incorporates a nice sexy hind end that just draws everyones' eye a great deal sooner. I am persuaded most of the women out there can disclose that they have been found in just a moment of luxury staring at that cheeky little Mercedes A class or perhaps something standard such as the Kia Picanto or perhaps the Opel Corsa...
I have to confessmy very first vehicle was a bright yellow hatchback (we christened her "Pampoen", which is Pumpkin in case you don't fully understand Afrikaans). In the beginning I was cautioned not to buy a second hand vehicle, but I took the chance (perhaps we had some "connection") and I didn't think back . The colour was frightening, but Pumpkin soon won my entire family's heart.
She was not simply cheeky with her capturing colour and enduring effectiveness, she was also dependable and carried me, and later my family, for mile after mile on end. My child still remembers Pumpkin and reminds me about her every time we drive past a yellow little vehicle.
When I think about her now, I am still certain she had a real personality. She unquestionably had the guts of a proper four by four car. She dealt with gravel roads, mountain trails with such amazing grace. We had a few truly remarkable adventures with her. Then came the morning when she became an elegant old sweetheart, with all those tender parts beginning to creek, her engine having a bigger desire for oil and her entire body (engine) not being able to carry the fuel in an economic manner anymore.
It was time for us to part our ways, but it was a challenging decision to make. I kept glancing at the newer version of various hatchbacksand then walked back to my faithful yellow partner. The decision took me more than a year. I just could not part with my little cheeky hatchback. I had to endure the whole mourning process as if I was parting with a very dear family member or friend.
I looked at many vehicles, as in MANY vehicles, but each time I had to drive her in and give her keys to somebody else I just could not get myself to do it. Each and every time I walked back to her and I kept driving her, enduring her oil and fuel cravings for a few months more before starting to look around again.
After a calendar year of "deciding" to get a different car I ended up in a place with a stylish car, more effective for a family and more fitting with my role as mom, professional and all the rest. I walked to my new vehicle and left Pumpkin behind. She was going to be fixed up a little and will start her voyage with a new owner. I was assured of this by the dealer.
I said good-bye with a heavy heart and my son asked me numerous times to take the new vehicle back and get Pumpkin. But we didn't. Our new car has been with us for more than a year but we still think of Pumpkin. We will always visualize her as our cheeky yellow hatchback.
