Men (particularly those in the role of "husband") really adore sending ladies to shop on behalf of them. About much the same way a number of employers have their PA's run their tasks. Which is how I wound up walking from shop to shop, familiarizing myself with all the technical specifics of fax printer copier units.

I eventually realized that this was complete unfamiliar territory.

Don't misunderstand me: I will use any possible reason to raid the shops, but though I started out on this journey very enthusiastic just for the fact that I will be given the opportunity to spend someone else's cash, with permission off course, it was also challenging at the same time.

I don't know if other ladies feel the same, but when it comes to doing shopping on behalf of a man in this specific division, I am scared. I by no means feel confident enough about this, although I guess we should feel privileged that they pick us do to the shoppingI keep investigating features including: Will this fax printer copier be child-friendly? How long will a white fax printer copier stay clean? But for some reason that is not the things guys look at.

The exciting trip soon turned out to be nerve wrecking as I found (once more) that husband and I have different opinions and conditions for this new edition to the household. Every fax printer copier machine I figured was wonderful was not even half an option for hubby. I ended up capturing pictures of each "candidate" and sending it to him, together with all the fancy "specs" of each one. More than half of the details I sent to him I still don't comprehend. It just seems like gibberish, but evoked a lot of "awesomeness" from my partner.

The following hurdle in this journey was the purchase price range. The ones that had all the trendy technological details and appeared to be the best ever, also ended up being sold at a price way out of our little budget. We evidently did not stay on top of the price increases in the business. I wandered up and down between 3 shops, evaluating not only those not comprehensible "specs" but also the prices. Again I sent all this info to my Minister of Finance and each and every time I waited in suspense for the verdict. This one was missing this function and that one was R400 too costly. This was not fun.

After almost 4 agonizing hours of this journey and again in between retailers, I took a deviation to a coffee shop. With feet burning and legs cramping I ordered myself a nice Capuccino (with cream).

At that specific moment I did not worry about any machine. I "switched off". Entirely. I already made my own selection.

After I savored that (extremely nice, extremely fattening) cappuccino I phoned hubby and told him what I have decided. Oddly he agreed with me, 100%. I got up, walked back to the very first shop I visited and I bought the very first fax copier printer "we" considered. I can't remember if it had everything my better half wanted and I also did not care that it was white, I just purchased it. Mission accomplished. I was pleased to walk back to my motor vehicle, drive home and go and lie on the sofa.

When my hubby got home he took out his new toy and I listened to him as he struggled and reported while he set it up and set up all the gadgets.
