And in order to keep the candida from multiplying you need to stop the dietary habits which allowed the candida to proliferate in the first place.

When embarking on a diet for candida you must see it as a lifestyle change not just a quick fix. Essentially a diet for candida will positively affect your entire system. Many common ailments such as; irritability, tiredness, irregular sleeping patterns, sore muscles, and lack of concentration are a result of a candida overgrowth. Until one changes their diet - in essence to change the environment which will result in the die off the candida the candida will continue to grow, and the person will not successfully eradicate the candida.

You may be dubious as to whether your diet has contributed to a candida overgrowth and the symptoms you are experiencing, but just a little research will provide you with enough information to prove once and for all the damaging effect of candida albicans and how you cannot eliminate candida without a diet for candida.

You see, the food you eat either promotes the growth of candida or aids in the elimination and control of the yeast infection. Certain foods (such as junk foods) increase the acidity of the environment within your gut and candida can ONLY grow in your gut when the environment is acidic. Your gut is not acidic by nature, so the very fact that you have candida is proof that before the candida could multiply the acidity levels in your gut rose.

A diet for candida is not a strange, out of this world diet. It may be the simplest diet around, a diet which can be easily followed with ingredients which can be easily found. A diet for candida is a simple diet based on eating foods which are alkaline in nature and omitting foods which either cause acidity or which are similar in nature to the candida.

I will not give too much detail about an eating plan, but I will give you the basic rules for this diet. Quite simply you need to eat lots of fresh vegetables (as much raw vegetables as you can). Fruit is wonderful but at the beginning of this diet it needs to be cut out, because of its high sugar content and ability to ferment. Try to eat a lot of grains which do not contain gluten such as rice, millet and quinoa. You can eat legumes, seeds and nuts. Eat as much protein as you like as well as live yoghurt cultures ( but not cheese). Drink lots of water, teas without sweeteners and herbal teas.

You must as all costs avoid: fermented foods, gluten, alcohol, sugar (fructose and sucrose), mushrooms, foods with preservatives and additives..

Remember that a diet for candida is a lifestyle change and the first step towards abundant health and wellbeing.
