Upping your likelihood of a fish biting your bait, is an equal mixture of luck, expertise and information. The information part comes from having information about the best fishing spots around. And when you have located where the best fishing spots are you have immediately increased your probabilities of reeling in the big ones. The rest is up to your fishing expertise and nature.

So let us say that you are going camping or taking a day trip, you might want to do some fishing while out there. You first call of duty is to find out the fishing spots and the best way to do that is to ask someone If you are going to a nature reserve or a camping site then this is easy as all you need to do is to call ahead and speak to the person at the information desk. This person should be able to tell you about the fishing spots as well as the type of fish you can catch in the area, if the location is known to draw in a big fishing crowd then they will be able to give you loads of information regarding fishing in the area.

However if you are considering being more adventurous and going off the beaten track then you need to do some more research before hand in order to be successful. If not you might end up spending all of your time looking for fishing spots instead of actually catching the fish. When you do not have a life time to spend in the great outdoors you will come to appreciate the stranger who can give you a few great tips. A stranger? Yes one way of finding fishing spots is by asking people in the nearby villages or people you pass on the streets if they know of any great fishing spots. If you do not get the response you are looking for then you can go to the local fish shop, pier or any place for that matter where people know about fish. Ask these people if they can give you some direction. This usually works when passing by small towns as many people in these town are friendly and are more than willing to help a passerby.

What I do before going on a fishing expedition is find out all the information I can on the internet. This really is the best way in my opinion as you save yourself so much time You can find all sorts of information such as which types of fish are located in that area, what the best time to go fishing is, the weather conditions and water temperatures etc. You can also get information on the slowest fishing spots, so you know which areas to steer clear of. Blogs are another great source of information and reading fishermen 's blogs is a great way for you to get your questions answered by the professionals Remember that a little bit of planning means that you can find the best fishing spots and spend more time enjoying the experience of fishing. Good luck
