Even though most people think that posture is just the way you carry yourself, I know that it is significantly more than that. Have you thought about how posture is related to your home based business?

Your MLM posture will make or break almost any presentation you give. Which makes it extremely important that you get started on developing this skill level immediately. This is the reason I wanted to write this article so that you understand what posture is and the way you can aquire it.

I. Exactly what is MLM Posture?

The most valuable element of your presentation will be your MLM posture. Now seeing that all of us come into this industry from a variety of backgrounds, it is safe to say that we each have different skill-sets and posture that we can lend to our presentations; a lot of people will naturally have it while some will not. Remember, everyone has the ability to educate and improve every area of our internet marketing business, including our MLM posture. So don't get frustrated if your posture isn't quite there yet.

When you speak to a prospect with regards to your MLM, whether it's someone you know or even a person you just met, your posture will be the first thing they'll recognize. It is that feeling of confidence that you convey to them within the first couple of seconds. It will make them choose to listen closely to you as you present your opportunity or just shut down and humor you to get it over and done with.

Now you know exactly what MLM posture is, why don't we learn exactly how to get it.

II. Ways To Get Posture

As we just learned, there are individuals who just naturally have a really good speaking posture, and the rest of us have got to work at it. The first essential attribute of posture is confidence. Nothing says success like having confidence.

Since more than likely you're new to the network marketing industry, you'll want to borrow confidence from your upline until you begin to establish your own. Yet another way of developing confidence is to develop it yourself.

Here are three methods for developing confidence:

1) Knowledge Base

Have extended understanding of each one of these:
1. Product - Meaning you need to be a product of your product. Your posture in addition to your belief in your company will simply skyrocket as you have a genuine testimony of your own product.

2. Pay Plan - Remember the majority of the people you recruit are in it for the money. So if you can't express to people how to make money, your confidence defintely won't be believable to you or your prospect. Which means you really need to get to know your compensation plan.

3. Testimonials - When you know some testimonials of others, you can actually relate these stories to your prospective business partners. For example, if Alan is a 6-figure earner within your company and he was previously working in construction, then it's very easy for your prospective distributor
to identify with somebody who is having success who comes from a blue collar background.

2) Work on Yourself

Develop your MLM posture by hanging around successful people; winners want to hang around other winners, so go where the winners are. A few examples are your company specific functions, chamber of commerce mixers and basically going to functions and associating with success-oriented people.

Working on yourself also includes reading success-oriented books such as Think & Grow Rich and Rich Dad, Poor Dad to mention a couple and listening to success-oriented audios from people such as Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins and Robert Kiyosaki. When you fill your mind with successful thoughts, they become successful actions.

3) Play to Positive Words

Your use of words is paramount when speaking with qualified prospects and also your downline. When you are confident, you'll have a tendency to talk more confidently and use words and verbiage that will make people respond.

Why will they respond? Because people respond to authority and people they perceive to have it.

Here are a few words and phrases to use: I Will, I can, I'll do this, Definitely
Here are a few words and phrases to avoid: I think, I'll try, Probably, I can't, maybe

One other place you need to you should always be using very positive words is in your self-talk. It is when you begin to speak positively to yourself, that you'll begin to build-up your confidence on a subconscious level. That will begin to be seen in to your actions and your posture. So step out and tell yourself the truth you'll need to be successful.

Gaining excellent MLM Posture isn't going to occur overnight. However it happens with lots of practice. Take the knowledge you get from reading books, events and audios and apply them daily to your MLM business. When your confidence grows, so will your business and without a doubt, you'll have achieved MLM posture.
