When I was little, I used to catch and raise butterflies. I would go out in a field with my net, chase them down, and when I caught them I would put them in a special enclosure so I could watch them.
Once I visited a huge field of wildflowers, and to my joy and astonishment I discovered hummingbirds for the very first time. Not just one or two. Not just dozens... They were everywhere!
I was entranced by the beautifully colored flying gems and I desperately wanted to catch sight of one close up. Since I had a net, I assumed I was very well prepared to catch one for a closer look.
I was very wrong! I chased those elusive little creatures for hours and did'nt even get close... Until I fell over exhausted and breathless from the exertion.
While I was laying quietly down on the ground desperately attempting to catch my breath they started coming nearer. I sat up, stayed perfectly motionless and silent, scarcely daring to breathe and after a short while they came right up to me.
One of those tiny little creatures came so close to my face that I actually got a chance to look into its teeny little eyes before it zoomed off! It is a memory that I appreciate to this day.
Your psychic abilities are just like this. Chase them and they will always be out of reach. Slow down and sit quietly and they will come to you.
My chance meeting with hummingbirds took place in the kind of area where they live. The nicer the environment is for them, the more of them there are, and the more likely you are to meet one up close.
The same is true if you want to experience your psychic skills. If you want a close encounter, first create the type of mental surroundings where they can thrive.
Psychic powers live in places of quiet mental serenity. Practice quieting your mind and cultivating a sense of inner tranquility and then let them come to you.
Trust me. You are much more likely to have the psychic experience you are looking for when you use the right approach!
