Learning to loom knit can be a fun craft. It is a very affordable craft to get into. Starting with the Knifty knitter is probably the most affordable way to try this fun hobby out. As your skill progresses you may decide to invest in some of the pricier looms that have a finer gauge than the Knifty Knitters. In the beginning it is best to start with a Knifty knitter.

The craft of loom knitting is not new by a long shot. Knitting rake is another term used to refer to certain knitting looms. This old craft has been growing in popularity quite a bit over recent years. This is mainly due to Provo Craft introducing their Knifty knitter line of looms.

Many people prefer knitting on a loom to traditional knitting with needles. There are actually several reasons why. One of the factors is speed. It is amazing just how fast you can knit a project with a loom. An additional reason is simplicity, loom knitting is easy to learn. Since the creation of the Knifty knitter cost is also a reason many people get involved with this fun and easy craft.

For those unfortunate enough to have arthritis or other problems with their hands loom knitting is ideal. Loom knitting has allowed those people, who could no longer use knitting needles, to once again knit wonderful projects. Using the Knifty Knitter weaving tool makes it even easier on the hands.

It is flat out easier to loom knit than to knit with needles. Some people just cannot master needle knitting. Just about anyone can knit on a Knifty Knitter after only a few minutes.

You may come across needle knitters who do not like loom knitting. I'm not sure why they care. Some very nice projects can be knit on looms. I don't think there is any stitch that can't be done on a Knifty Knitter. At first for those who are not familiar with loom knitting those more advanced stitches may seem impossible. The easiest way to learn loom knitting is through video. There are great loom knitting tutorial videos all over the web.

Knifty Knitters can be used to knit much more than hats. My aunt loves her Knifty Knitters yet she has never knit anything other than hats. The projects that can be knit are only limited by imagination.

Are you in the market for a new fun hobby? You should try out loom knitting. If you start now you'll have plenty of gifts ready for the holidays. All you need is a set of Knifty knitter looms and some yarn. I would also recommend that you find a web site that has a selection of loom knitting tutorial videos.
