I recently had an opportunity to speak with World of Warcraft Guru Markco. He is probably the most well known gold capper inside the game. The reason I like him so much is because he not only plays the game, but helps persons play the game better. He has invested lots of time and energy into the game of world of warcraft.
So I jumped at the chance once it was presented to do an interview with him. This is 1 of the questions and answers that came out of that interview.
Markco, for people just getting started in World of Warcraft, why is it important for them to not only learn the Wolrd of Warcraft Auction House, but to learn it the right way from the very beginning?
Players have no idea how much gold they are missing out on when they first start playing world of warcraft. They are so fixated on getting to max level that they miss out on the tens of thousands of gold they could be making with very little detriment to their leveling speed. The biggest problem comes when players start throwing away items which are actually quite valuable because they aren't needed for quests or their particular professions. The guide is called 20k leveling because you should be able to make that amount easily, however, with 85 levels of gameplay in cataclysm, you should be able to reach well into the 30-40k+ range with the strategies I fully explain in the guide.
