Prospecting for any business entrepreneur is mostly about being selective. What I mean by that is finding the right people to work with or join your small business opportunity. So let us both be truthful here not everybody you communicate with will be a great prospect for your downline or team. Sometimes it can be difficult dealing with different people and it can even become a headache.
So why is it important for you to learn how to prospect the right way well because you want to begin working with the go getters and competitors not the lazy excuse makers. You have to ask yourself what's the best way to prospect? After being cautious there are several different prospecting hints I've learned through experience that I'm gonna share with you today hopefully they will help you get ahead in your entrepreneur business opportunity.
1. Leadership Position
Keep in mind that this is your small home business and you are searching for others to work with you. So you must put yourself in a leadership postion and handle your prospecting like a job interview, big business associations do it why don't you? This begins to look more interesting to your prospects and you can't be fearful you just have to go with the flow and just do it. If a prospect doesn't seem like a match to you then you must keep it moving. Start thinking about mental abundance and remember that there are plenty of prospects out here waiting to hear from you and learn more about what you have to offer.
2. Start Asking More Questions
If you ask more questions then you can come up with a solution and have better answers to those questions. You should want to know why your prospects want to begin a small home business what motivates them and what their strengths are also. The responses you receive from them will help you decide if they are worth working with or not.
3. Handle This Like A Real Business Not A Hobby
If you are interested in getting real results and earning residual income in the long run then you must understand that you are a home based business entrepreneur and you cannot treat this like a hobby because it isn't one. This also means that you need a set schedule and you must do your daily tasks on time and always be professional when dealing with your prospects.
Your prospects will be able to tell if you are someone who cares or someone who is just trying to make a quick sale. If you are serious about your business then you will definitely want your prospect to know that you care which makes them more interested in joining you.
4. Shut Up And Listen
When starting a small business most people don't understand this. They are mostly taught to purchase leads, advertise their business and start a warm market list but they aren't taught to listen. Listening is very crucial to your success and you must learn to master this skill if you want to make it to the top in this field. While communicating with your prospect you should be listening for ideas that will also make it obvious if this person is a good prospect to work with or not.
5. Involve A 3rd Party
Have you ever dealt with a new prospect that may have seemed interested at first but seemed to have lost interest later. Well a third party can help solve this situation.
You can accomplish this in several different methods. You can invite your prospects to conference calls, webinars or you do a 3 way call with your upline. Sometimes it takes hearing it from another person before the information sinks in with the prospect. You must think of it like this you may see something you like but you may not purchase that product until you get another person's opinion and afterwards you make your final decision.
Hopefully these hints I have provided will help you become more successful in your entrepreneur business opportunity. If you continue to work on you and be consistent then you will definitely get the results you want.
