Rings! Don't we love them? Think about it for a second. Rings, the kind that you'd wear around your finger is part of virtually every civilization that exists today or which has ever existed. Rings are deep-rooted in our souls as a race. everybody loves them. And if you're to run into someone who does not like rings, i suggest you first look at them funny, and then pity them. Because as long as they get engaged or married, they won't have a choice. Rings must be exchanged and worn. Its not like you can get engaged and wear watches or necklaces or something like that, it has to be rings. Rings are an integral part of us as human beings and have been there since forever.

Rings are found in history as early as the Egyptian civilization of the pharaohs where rings have been seen with engravings of the beetle which were imagined to be an emblem of the world. Rings are found elsewhere on the planet for example in North America amongst the Native American tribes along with in the Far East.

Rings became a huge deal in the modern planet with the start of medieval Europe. They were worn by everyone including the ruling class along with the peasants. The metals from which they were made signified the riches and rank of the wearers. In medieval Europe, rings were strongly linked to magical powers and influence. The same as in many Asian countries, certain types of rings or the stones that they carried were associated with certain sorts of energies or Gods and were supposed to affect the wearers life in some constructive way.

In Asia, rings have always been magical or spiritual. Rings have always been helpful to ward off evil or draw some sort of energy towards the wearer. People visit sages and gurus in an effort to acquire advice on why they're having certain problems. All of life’s troubles can usually be attributed to the alignments of the planets according to the Astrologer. The mystic will then prescribe a ring with a particular kind of stone in order to counter the offending bad energies related to planetary alignments. These rings give the wearer a sense of defense and hope. In present times, these beliefs have come under condemnation as superstitious and injurious to civilization. But rings have always been in the histories of great civilizations.

Rings are special due to their shape. one and all has seen the immortal snake that devours its tail. That signifies a cycle or the endless universe. Rings are special because they appeal to some secreted truth that we already know. So, naturally rings possess a hold on us as people and sentient beings.

These days, a very powerful function of a ring might be to indicate love and commitment. Rings are used in wedding ceremonies and engagements to bind two people together. Rings are also used for fashion as well as for personal connotation. They will always be a part of our lives and hold a special place in our hearts.
