There are many car seat for toddlers selling online that I was having a hard time to choose the best car seat for my son. However, after reading many good reviews from users who have bought the Britax Roundabout car seat, I decided to purchase them myself. I am glad that I bought it.
The Roundabout fits perfectly in my compact SUV. The process of getting my son in and out in the rear facing position is so easy.The safety harness can be loosened and tightened easily even with baby in the seat and the instruction manual is attached to the seat, so it is easy to find.Their Instructions are very helpful. They are clear and easy to follow in order to achieve a great fit.
Basically, I was attracted more by the safety features that this seat offers. Furthermore Britax has a good reputation for safety features.Due to the excellent design, the latch connectors on the Britax Roundabout car seat are the easiest that I have ever used.
I also like the Velcro strap holders because it helps to keep the harness straps out of the way while putting my son in the seat. Another reason why I chose the Britax Roundabout over some other models is because I could install them rear facing and still have space to shift the front seats to the back. This is their smallest convertible seat with rear facing weight limit of 33 pounds and front facing limit of 40 pounds. Placing your child rear facing is the safest and Britax has one of the highest weight limits for rear facing.
I have to admit that the Britax Roundabout car seat is quite expensive as compared to other similar products out there, but I feel, for the sake of my son's safety the price is worth it. The material is of superior quality and the design is very pleasant. The interior fabric is a stiff nylon and doesn't seem very comfortable for the baby, though it looks like it will wear well and spills will clean up easily.
The pros: Easy to install, high rear facing weight limit, high quality fabric, sturdy and solid
Weaknesses:No head pillow, no shoulder pads on harness, high price tag, fabric may be slightly uncomfortable.
Overall, I am very pleased with this product as I am confident that my son will be safe in this car seat and should be able to pass it to my future baby who is due in a couple of months time.
