In today's schools there are many activities that teachers would like to involve their students in but these activities cost money. Moreover, the budget that the Australian school board gives to the schools is usually not enough for the schools to partake in a number of activities. When this is the case Australian schools have to get creative in order to raise money to participate in these great projects and activities. The following are three great ideas for school fundraising.

* Australian Bake Sale - One of the ways to conduct successful fundraising for schools is to use bake sales. Bake sales have been proven to generate a lot of cash time and time again. Why? Simply because a lot of people love sweets. In today's rapidly growing world, there are a lot of people out there with a sweet tooth who will quickly buy from a bake sale. As such, running a bake sale with your high school can easily generate some quick cash for your fundraising need. You can offer sweets like chocolate chip cookies, Rice Krispy squares, and chocolate covered muffins. These have been known to sell well at bake sales.

* School Dances - Schools can organize a school dance for the students to raise money for fundraising. Out of the different ideas for school fundraising this one is the most creative. You may or may not have to hire a DJ but that is entirely up to the budget. For an elementary school dance you don't have to hire a DJ but for a high school dance it is highly recommended. However, if there is a student that is experienced with DJ work you can have them DJ the school dance. Next, you want to charge students about $10 bucks to come to the school dance. A lot of students will love to attend; thus, making this a great fundraiser.

* Pancake Breakfast - The school can also organize a pancake breakfast for students and parents. This is very similar to conducting a bake sale and as such advertising is very crucial. Unlike the bake sale, you want to charge an upfront fee of maybe $10-$15 dollars per person for an all-you-can-eat pancake buffet.

Lastly, what you want to keep in mind with these fundraising events is to try to arrange them so that they fall on busy days. Days in Australian calendar such as Australia Day and Anzac Day prove to be days where a lot of people come out to participate. This will be a good target for your fundraising ideas. Fundraising for schools will be effective when you follow these strategies.
