In this article we are going to expose the true story behind the Shaklee Scam. This will provide you with the facts before you put your money on the line.
Question: Is Shaklee a Scam or the perfect opportunity?
First we have to look at some brief information, before we make our dicision.
Shaklee was founded in 1956 by Dr. Forest C. Shaklee. Now at the time of me writing this article Shaklee has been in business for 46 years, but let's not jump to any conclusions just yet. Before I continue I need to make one thing clear, I am not a representative with Shaklee. This is a 3rd party review.
Shaklee products:
1. Air filtration systems
2. Cosmetics
3. Green household cleaners
4. Nutritional supplements
5. Water treatment systems
6. Personal care, skin care, and weight management
Finding this information still didn't give me the right to make a final decision, so I continued to do my research. What I found next was interesting. Shaklee is a member of the Direct Selling Association (DSA). Being a member of the DSA proved that Shaklee is a real business opportunity. Hold Up! Before you jump on the band wagon, there's more. Although the company is legit, You Can Still Loose Your Money!
What? How will I loose money if the opportunity is legit?
Shaklee reps (97%) are being taught old school marketing strategies that can hurt, and will hurt their business. The same way reps were taught to build their business in 1956, is the same way the are being taught today. Here are a few examples:
1. Build your list (friends and family)
2. Talk to everyone within 3 feet of you (3 foot rule)
3. Purchase and pass out marketing tools
4. Invite people to home/hotel meetings
5. Purchase and cold call leads
Network marketing use to be built this way, but times have changed If you are a active rep or looking to join Shaklee, if you don't embrace change you will fail. You no longer have to chase friends and family, buy leads, use the 3 foot rule, or go to weekly hotel meetings. If you don't pay close attention to the information here, YOU WILL BE LEFT BEHIND!
Shaklee leaders are growing empires by doing the complete opposite of what the 97% ar being taught. To succeed in Shaklee you need to:
1. Build a list (Generate Leads using the internet)
2. Build a relationship with your list
3. Market to your list
If you don't have a growning list, you will be left behind. Secondly, building a relationship allows you to build trust with your prospects. Without trust from your prospect, you will have a hard time recruiting new partners. Once you establish a relationship, you can market your business. The 3rd step will not work for the 97% that don't follow the first 2 steps.
Self-branding is key to becoming a top producer in this industry. What do I mean? You have to position yourself as a leader that people want to follow. You have to offer something of value that will cause prospects to join you, instead of someone else. This right here is key! You have to be different from the masses in order to succeed. If 97% are sending their prospects to a replicated site, doing 3 way calls with upline, and promoting hotel meetings they will get a certain result. If you do the same thing you will get the same results. Plain and simple! Now if you want to join the top producers, you will have to do what the top producers do! Build a list, build relationship with list, then market to that list.
