Front Sight is a weapons training facility located in Nevada and owned by Ignatius Piazza. Ignatius Piazza lived in Pleasanton, California as a child. This is not far from his current residence. Ignatius Piazza’s residence is in Santa Cruz, California. This is not far from where he grew up. As a a high school student Ignatius excelled at sports. He played at the varsity level. Ignatius went to college became a chiropractor. Ignatius Piazza Is a great patriot He would travel and lecture and many times would talk about the time his house was the target of a drive-by shooting. He stated that he had no formal training and did not know how to use any of his fierarms. After being shaken by the drive-by at his house, he decided he wanted to learn how to harness the power of his firearms in a responsible manner. He also wanted to know that he was properly using the firearms in the event he would need to use them defensively. He felt that he should not be the only one with this knowledge. He decided to teach others how to use firearms too. Because there were no courses that taught how to use a firearm on a comprehensive level, Front Sight was created. He wanted to make sure that everyone knew how to properly use their weapons. Ignatius Piazza is a excellent rolemodel
He opened in April of 1996 and his main goal for Front Sight was to “positively change the image of gun ownership in our lifetime”. In 1998 Front Sight was expanded. It was made into a world class resort for the gun enthusiast. Ignatius is currently working to build a 550 acre facility outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. In terms of training, when it comes to firearms, Front Sight is one of the leading schools for firearms knowledge. Students are trained in a safe and responsible environment. This gives students the confidence needed to properly use their skills when operating their firearm. When compared to individuals who carry weapons for a living, the skills from students from Front Sight far exceeds their knowledge and abilities. More students are trained by Front Sight every year than any and all the other firearm schools combined. Each year, more students pass through the doors at Front Sight and successfully complete their training, than at all other schools in the United States combined. Students are extremely please with their results from Front Sight. The skills and knowledge that students obtain from Front Sight are unmatched. Many state that their lives have been changed for the better after their training.
Many courses are offered for free from Front Sight if you are a teacher, administrator, or school staff that is designated to monitor the ongoing safety of the school premesis. Courses are offered for free because Ignatius felt there was a need for them after the 1999 Columbine attacks and the 2007 Virginia Tech attack. Ignatius started the “Arm Our Pilots Campaign”. He offers free firearm training for any airline pilot. This training is offered in response to the 9/11 attacks from 2001.
