The key to a good Stampin’ Up blog lies in the ability of the owner to provide his or her regulars with up to date, interesting information on topics that relate to the interests of the viewers. A lot of the Stampin’ Up blogs that I have been looking at do an amazing job at that. I always like to look at the dates that the new content on different blogs has been posted on. When I see that the random blog that I went to had been updated just a day or two ago, it really makes me feel that the website owner is currently involved and aware of what he or she is doing. Visitor to websites do not want old information! With all of that being said, one thing I have been noticing that Stampin’ Up blog owners do are Stampin’ Up parties.
If you are a Stampin’ Up demonstrator, and you have not looked into hosting these parties, then I suggest that you at least start thinking about them. I know that parties can take a lot of work, and some of us simply do not have the time of day to do it. However, It can prove to be really beneficial to your Stampin’ Up business. These parties are great for a number of different reasons.
First of all, they get you and your business out there. They allow people to see that you actually have the ability to produce what you have been demonstrating on your Stampin’ Up blog. You can do this a number of different ways. Since Stampin’ Up does such a great job walking you through the projects, it can be really easy to prepare for a party. You can invite people over to showcase and purchase your finished work, you can host a hands on “workshop,” or maybe even offer your decorating services through a presentation. Now, you are probably thinking about how the money involved in getting this started. Well, like any business, it takes money to make money. The same goes for your Stampin’ Up blogs and business. However, the reason why I think it is such a worthwhile investment is because of the long term effects, leading me to my next point.
These parties are a great way to attract new members into your downline. I have said it before in some of my previous articles, and I am saying it again: your downline should be the number one focus of your business, simply because that is where the money is. I know that some of you are saying to yourself that your number one focus is the art. I can appreciate that, but with an active downline, you will have the ability to focus more on the art, rather than sustaining your business.
Anyway, these parties are a great way to put potential enrollees into a fun, interesting environment that will show them the joys and profitability of working with you in your Stampin’ Up business. Let’s face it, crafts are fun. If you can find a person that loves crafts, and wants the freedom of a home business, then your Stampin’ Up parties will definitely seal the deal.
The hard part is finding the right people to come to your Stampin Up parties. This is where marketing your blog effectively comes in. Driving targeted traffic to your Stampin’ Up blog is a great way to ensure that people are interested in what you have to say, making them more likely to sign up for your party, as well as take action at your party. By targeted traffic, I mean traffic that is interested in crafts, making money, or better yet, both.
In conclusion, these parties have huge potential to boost your business. All you have to do is market your Stampin’ Up blog correctly, and you are more than half way there.
