Nokia has been offering different types of Smartphones in the market to cater a larger consumer bracket. They continuously improve on the Smartphones they offer to give more options for their consumers. The Nokia 5228 is another entry-level Smartphone from Nokia which is packed with several features and combined with a pleasing design. The look and functionality of this mobile is sure to catch the eye of many. Let us take some time and talk more about this interesting mobile.

The Look

Nokia is known for offering mobiles with eye-catching designs and the Nokia 5288 is just the same. It has an attractive 3.2" touch screen display and is compatible with 16 million colours. This makes it perfect for viewing pictures especially with the resolution of 360 X 640 pixels. This mobile offers a resistive touch screen technology which works well with a stylus for handwriting detection. Now you can take advantage of using your stylus for writing messages. Although it may take some time, once you get used to your stylus your word per minute rate will definitely increase and may even be higher compared to using the standard keypad.

The design is compact with a weight of only 113 grams and measuring only 51. 7 x 111 x 14.5 mm. This makes it perfect to carry around. It does not give any awkward feeling when placed inside the pocket or inside the bag.

The front colour is available in white and black whereas the back colour is available in pink, red, silver, yellow or dark silver.

Significant Features

The Nokia 5288 is compatible with GSM 1800, GSM 900, GSM 1900 and GSM 850 frequency bands. The data connectivity on this mobile is supported by either GPRS or EDGE. In terms of internet speeds, this mobile works pretty okay with general browsing and for social networking purposes. HSDPA and 3G are not supported so the connection may be slower compared to other devices. Looking on the brighter side, this mobile still offers connectivity when you need it so it's not too bad at all. You can still access your favourite social networking sites like Facebook or Twitter anytime.

This mobile also has a reliable 2MP camera. You can simply bring your mobile out to take photos on special events or occasions. The photos taken can be stored on the mobile for it offers 70 MB of internal memory. A good thing is that if you like to download games or songs you still have an option of increasing the memory up to 16GB with the help of a MicroSD card.

Final Say

The Nokia 5228 is offered at a lower price so features found in other high end mobiles may not be found here. As we all know not everyone is willing to spend a lot of money to get a high end mobile packed with features that they won't need at all. It is a good thing that Nokia is able to provide a cheaper option for the consumer that is still able to deliver when it comes to the features of a basic mobile phone.
