If you’ve been on the internet for some time, and you’re a network marketer, then chances are you’ve heard of the concept of Attraction Marketing. As a matter of fact, some of the most successful internet marketers mention attraction marketing as a key reason that they're succeeding online. In a nutshell, the concept revolves around the idea that you should attract prospects to you, instead of chasing them down. And while having a blog is not a requirement to succeed as an “attraction marketer”, having one is a good idea for many reasons. One of the reasons why it works so well for marketers is that it can function as a central hub where you can post your content in a way that you can control.
If you're new to blogging, it's easy to get overwhelmed. So in this short article, I'll share four simple tips to help you get started:
1. Use A Self Hosted Platform – While it might cost you a few bucks to pay for your own hosting, utilizing a self hosted platform will give you more control over your site and content.Using a free site to blog on just isn't worth it if that site's admin can delete your account any time they feel like if if they don't like your content.Paying a couple of dollars will save you a ton of frustration if admin shuts down your blog.
2. Provide Good Content – Make it a point to post useful content. You can post how-to articles, product reviews, company reviews or anything else that you feel your visitors would enjoy. I want to emphasize the point of blogging about useful content because your visitors will not be interested in coming back if they feel the information isn’t valuable to them. Also, you can utilize videos and pictures on your post, as opposed to just having all of them in text form.
3. Post Content On A Regular Basis – Besides the fact that search engines love new, original content, posting on a frequent basis will also keep people coming back. By posting regularly and building a following of repeat visitors, you can constantly expose people to your content and stay on the top of their consciousness. And this is exactly what you want as a marketer.
4. Promote Your Blog – It’s very difficult to get visitors to your blog if no one knows about it. Promote your blog every chance you get using videos, articles and in your email signatures. The more you market it, the more traffic you’ll get.
In closing, a blog will be a great central hub for you to drive traffic to so that people can get to know you before checking out your other websites. And, while there is obviously more to blogging than these 4 tips, this should set you on the right path if you are a new blogger.
