This challenge leads tothe challenge of keeping someone attention. There are just so many offers and so many distractions on the net your prospects "attention span" is probably the most important thing on keeping someone’s interest in what you have to offer. You have only 2 or 3 seconds to get and keep there interest or goodbye they are gone to somewhere else on the internet. So if you want to keep their interest, the information that you supply needs to be specific to your audience.
Next problem is retention or the ability of keeping your prospect in your business. Because there are so many offers coming on a daily basis it is a challenge to keep someones interest. When someone joins your business you have only 2 months to really get them going before they may be looking elsewhere for another opportunity. If they are unhappy withthe product or the business they will more than likely be gone. The main reason being again the amount of information and the many choices they have on the internet.
There is also the the legal aspect. Although Multi-level marketing Companies want all the advantages of having their distributors using the internet to bring more exposure to their brand name, they really don’t want to handle the legal ramifications of what might happen if a distributor is to miss-speak when making claims about their product or the potential earning. Some MLM Companies may limit how much you can do on the internet due to them protecting themselves. Some companies have even gone so far as to tell reps that they are not allowed to use their company name on the internet. So how do they expect you to expand your network marketing business if you can’t even market your opportunity on the internet?
The next thing you would want to know is how to use the new technologies and the new tools of the internet to expand our business online? Well Mike Dillard refers to this as You Incorporated. He explains that if you take on the role that your success has nothing to do with your product or service, but “YOU’ as the reason why people will want to work with you. By applying this mind set it will allow you to generate leads. Next it would allow to you market and sell your opportunity automatically. It will enable you to eliminate the opposition, not only from other network marketing companies but also eliminate the competition within your own MLM Company. The added advantage of developing the corporation around you is that you can create multiple streams of revenue. This can make you at least 10 times more revenue then in just building a downline.
Since in a network marketing company you really don’t own anything, when you have the mindset of "You Inc", you can improve your mlm business and the multiple streams of revenue around something that you have possession of and that would be "your list". It is your list and the people who prefer to do business with you, because you present them value, which becomes your biggest asset. It is the relationship that you shape with your list that will increase the significance of this asset.
So this is what you need to do. First build your list. Second build up a relationship with your list and third market to your list. So how do you accomplish this? The first step is to get poeple to your website and then, by offering them value, you would want to get your visitors contact information. As you begin to grow this list one thing you must keep in mind is that you must have the mindset or business philosophy that you have to be willing to give without wanting anything, before they will begin to spend money with you. You need to understand people want to know, like and trust you first before they willing to do business with you. When you do this people will listen to you and they will buy from you when you ask them to. Because you built this relationship with you leads to meet their needs first then they will be more willing to do business with you. If it’s all about you, you will not have victory in your mlm industry.
