For mobile phone manufacturers to stay in the industry, they need to constantly come up with a powerful line of devices that can compete well with those in the lead. LG, a Korean multinational electronics company has secured their share in the market by creating a new lineup of devices that will take the industry by storm.
This new collection is branded as the Optimus series, a name taken from the Latin word "optimus" which when translated means best. Although it's rather early to tell whether the lineup is indeed comprised of only the best devices, the bold name speaks for itself so we can expect the devices and phones to have, at a certain extent, only the finest features and specifications.
The company will launch the series by first releasing their latest smartphones the LG Optimus Chic & LG Optimus One. These two are apart from the ten mobile phones they will release later this year under the same series.
Campaign
While some manufacturers stress that their mobile phones can meet the needs of just about any consumer, Dr. Skott Ahn the President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company aims to challenge this notion. He believes that every consumer is different from the others. It is, therefore, important to provide consumers with a wide array of choices which simply means that manufacturers should offer a variety of mobile phones for both the entry level and premium consumers. This is what the Optimus line is all about, the opportunity to provide customers with newer and better options.
LG is so proud to present their first two instalments, the LG Optimus Chic & LG Optimus One, smartphones that aim to reduce the confusion caused by too much information in the lives of consumers.
This is not to say that these two will have second-rate processors and operating systems. On the contrary, both are said to sport the operating systems from Google. In fact, the One will run the Android v2.2 platform (the Froyo), which is actually the latest mobile phone OS from Google released into the market.
The One
As was mentioned, the LG Optimus Chic & LG Optimus One will come with the Android 2.2 which basically means easy access to the Android Market for all those instances of browsing for apps and games. The user interface and multimedia options of the One are also standouts.
Although it's a bit early since there are no official information on the full specs, rumours have it that the device will come with 3.8-inch display panel, as well as HDMI/DNLA support. Even the camera of this mobile phone is said to be of top notch quality since it's alleged to be an HD camera.
The Chic
Between the LG Optimus Chic & LG Optimus One, the One is probably the principal smartphone but this is just because the Chic has different target consumers, those with inclination towards stylish mobile phones. What's interesting with this mobile phone is that it's not only fashionable and trendy with all its slick edges, but it's also capable of a number of apps and features since it will run the Android v2.2.
