Well you have heard it all along, probably for the past 3 years or so, that if you want to increase your business then you must be using Social media because it's , the way of the future to if you are really serious about growing your business. You can do this just by setting up a blog or a website get accounts on Twitter and Facebook and you are set for life" and then go lay on the beach!! This sounds great, right? But how many have done this? Well not many considering all the people looking to access the internet and use social media. Someone must be missing something right? Well from what I have learned we need to not only socialize and build trust but we also need to give our potential client information that would be of value to them or what some refers to as valuable content.
So the question to ask is : What is Social Media?
Social media is a medium used to share business ideas and interact with people online. You can do this simply by offering value to your potential business partner through these media outlets or tools.
In moving forward you would need to know: What are all the different forms of Social Media. Firstly you have your actual connection with your target market. People communicating with liked minds and building trust. There is an aspect of social media that some people miss and that is the part of sharing valuable solutions to problems. People want to establish relationships with others they like but also people who can help them. You can share what you know with media such as videos or written content that helps people find answers to the questions they have.
So if you are sharing video content, you can use websites such as Youtube, Metacafe, and some of the other 35 + videos websites out there. Then there is your written content which would be shared on blogs sites such as Better Networker, Hubpages, Squiddo and your blog, if you have one, a good idea. You also have places like Twitter. The main thing is to connect with people and provide valuable information so that they will choose to get to know you and do business with you. Next you have Social Sites which are places you go to distribute your information and communicate with your potential prospects. There are sites like Facebook, Myspace and Twitter. The most common element of these social media sites are the ability to build a profile, share content, comment, follow people and interact - your basis networking. All these places can be used to communicate with your targeted market and share value to see if you can establish a positive business relationship.
You can use these site to both connect with people and also to drive traffic to your blog to establish more trust to deepen the relationship by building trust which will ultimately lead to your prospect doing business with you. Learning how to use these sites to attract your possible business partners and drive people to your website or blog is also very important.
You can really learn to use social media to generate free leads and prospects. One thing that you may not grasp is that you will experience residual returns on your time invested. By this I mean once the media or content is out there at these social sites that information is there forever and can be providing free leads pretty much forever. Providing you ongoing value for the work you do today. In essence providing residual returns on your work.
You really want to use social media to network with possible clients along with their networks - which will lead to increasing your business. Networking with successful people, "make it happen people" can lead to partnering up with their influential people and networks, which will be a great way to expand your business.
Social media is also a higher leveraging way to "pre-sell" many people at once. Your efforts can be exponential. As you solve people needs and their problems by providing valuable information to people for free in turn they will eventually want to do business with you.
Knowing who your target market is and and what you target market wants and then give that to them will ultimately lead to your triumph. Social Media forces you to ask the right questions and learn what is needed my your target market so that you will meet their needs and create real valuable relationship. You can do all this for free - it only takes time.
