So you’re excited about your business opportunity and you’re ready to start marketing online. The problem is, with all the different ways you can market, you don’t know where to begin. Well, a simple form of free marketing that you can use right out of the gate is video marketing. In this short article, I will go into video marketing, it's benefits and how you can start using videos to get visitors to your website.
One of the coolest things about video marketing, as I mentioned before, is that it doesn't cost a dime. And for new marketers starting out, that’s very important. All you really need is an inexpensive camera, which may be your only cost if you do not already have one, and you are ready to go. In minutes, you can shoot a video and have it up on the internet.
Another benefit of video marketing is that it does what text ads can not do. It also allows you to show your excitement, build a common ground with your target audience and share your personality, which goes a long way when you are trying to connect with people. Obviously, text ads work great too, but they just can not accomplish what videos do.
If you arenot familiar with video marketing, there’s no need to worry. There’s a humongous amount of resources and techniques you can find on the web. The following are 3 basics to help you get started:
1. Determine what your video content will be about – As a rule of thumb, don’t hard pitch your opportunity and products on each and every single one of your videos. Every once in a while, it’s OK to soft pitch your business and products, but for the most part, try to make your videos informational so you can educate your prospects. Your prospects all have certain challenges and problems concerning their businesses. The key is to make videos that offer solutions to their challenges, so they have a reason to watch your videos.
2. Identify your target audience – If your videos are about network marketing, your target audience should be network marketers or people looking to get into network marketing. Your target audience is not cat owners or martial arts enthusiasts. If you make quality videos, but place them in front of people who probably don't have an interest in your topic, you won’t get any results. Placing the right keywords in your title and description, and selecting the proper tags will help you position your videos in front of a targeted audience who would most likely be interested in what you’re offering.
A little tip when your adding keywords to your tags – Besides adding keywords, you can also add key phrases to your tags by placing quotation marks around the key phrase you want to target.
3. Determine where to post your videos – There are a multitude of video sharing websites on the internet where you can place your content. Obviously, everyone’s heard of Youtube so you definitely want to put your videos there. But there are 30-40 other sites you can upload videos to. Now, you might wonder why you should post them up on so many sites when Youtube is the undisputed King of video sites. There’s a couple of reasons, but one is so you can increase the probability of being found on the search engines. Also, by posting to many relevant video sites, you can create quality backlinks to your website which will increase it’s popularityin the eyes of search engines like Google and Yahoo. However, that’s another topic for another article.
Lastly, uploading videos to 30 or 40 sites is very time consuming, so you may want to outsource that to a posting service if you can afford it.
If you can discipline yourself to create one video a day, in no time flat, you can have hundreds of videos online driving quality traffic to your website on auto-pilot. And, once you’ve got a steady flow of traffic, you’ve started the process of building your online mlm effectively.
