As the economy continues to take a downturn, there are more people than ever searching for ways to make income. In addition, they want to supplement their income without jeopardizing their current income and they want to do it from home. The solution is network marketing. When you stop and really take a hard look at what's happening in the economy, it is pretty easy to see why so many people are getting involved in network marketing. In fact, there are over 175,000 people joining a network marketing company each and every week.

If you are on the fence about whether you should join MLM, here are five quick reasons why it just makes sense:

1. Be Your Own Boss - Having the ability to set your schedule and control your income are things you can do when you are your own boss. Having control of your time and money are just two of a multitude of reasons why being your own boss is awesome.

2. Get Tax Advantages - Home business owners get a ton of tax breaks, so while you are making money, you could be potentially saving money. Obviously, you’ll need to consult with a CPA who can help you make the most of these deductions, which commonly include mileage, office supplies, utilities and expenses for a dedicated home office.

3. Build Something You Can Own - When you are building a network marketing business, you are building an asset that you have total ownership with. You are not just renting out your time for someone else's business. You’re building a business that you can sell or better yet will to your children, god forbid something happens to you. For me personally, I do not mind building my business because I know I'm building something that my kids will own one day.

4. Be Rewarded For Your Achievements – It’s not every day that an adult receives praise for a job well done. When was the last time your co-workers, or family members, applauded when you walked in the room? Network marketing companies go the extra mile when it comes to recognition for their reps. From company cars, cruises and vacations to thundering applause, this industry knows how to reward people for their achievements.

5. Harness The Power Of Leveraged And Residual Income – When you are paid over-ride commissions (leveraged income) on the efforts of your team, in essence your multiplying your ability to earn. And just like compound interest, by building a productive team you have the potential to significantly grow your income. In addition, when you build an active customer base, you can get paid years after you've done the work. Now, that's leverage!

There are hundreds of other reasons that I can give, but I think these 5 are sufficient. If any of this made sense to you, find a company and product you can get passionate about, reach out to a sponsor that you can relate to and can guide you, and get busy. As cliche as it sounds, you can really change your whole situation, and gain some financial relief, in 6-12 months.
