One self-made millionaire grew up as he described it "dirt poor". There were four kids and two parents who lived in a one bedroom apartment. Things were so bad that one year he didn't own a winter coat. (He's from New York.) This does not sound like a good way to begin a life. Now this self-made millionaire has a house in the Hollywood Hills and a second home in Santa Barbara with vineyards from which he will make his own wine. The answer is, thinking.

How can your thinking cause you become wealthy? The way one thinks about money will determine how you will relate to it. When the abovementioned millionaire was growing up his parents rejected people who had money. This is because they thought that the wealthy did not have anything to offer them because they were so different. The difference in the thinking of the self-made millionaire and his parents is that he knew wealthy people are exactly the people you spend time with to learn how to think "wealthy".

As the millionaire's fortunes improved and everyone else's did not, they became very negative about his wealth. By the way they would talk it seemed as if he was doing a bad thing by improving his fortunes. The reason is that people will not want you to become wealthy and leave them behind. They are not confident enough to believe that they can move along with you and increase their wealth, so they think it is easier to keep you at your current level with them. You may find that you have people like these in your family. They will be in your family and they will be your friends when you tell them that you are starting a network marketing business. Follow the millionaire's lead and keep doing what you have to do even when wading through a pool of negativity.

You cannot look at people who are currently wealthy and feel disdain for them when you are beginning a network marketing business if your plan is to become wealthy yourself. You will need those people to help you learn how to do what they did. This is the reason the millionaire would have liked to have known some wealthier people in his youth so that his family could have developed the mindset they needed to have more than they currently had. You cannot run from those people or else you will never have anyone to tell you what you need to do to be wealthy. Your chances of becoming a success will be extremely low if you have to figure everything out for yourself.

You also cannot have negative thoughts about money. If the negativity about money is really a problem it can prevent people from becoming a success because they are afraid of it. This causes procrastination. They know what they need to be doing, but they are not doing it because they are afraid of something. It is very likely that the people around you will treat you with scorn. There is the fear about money leading to depravity which is one reason people can fear it, but when you become wealthy you will not be evil if you were not evil before you made the money. Just remember the self-made millionaire described in this article; his thoughts about money were not those of a typical poor person who never makes it out of poverty which is why he currently has his own winery.
